World Poker Tour Hosts an Inaugural WPT Event in Australia by Together with Its Queensland Partner – The Star Gold Coast Casino
The event will take pat this year and represents a strife by the WPT, a global poker brand, to establish itself in Australia.
WPT Australia will be an event organized in partnership with one of Australia’s most prominent venues, The Star Gold Coast, in a famous tourist destination – the city of Gold Coast.
The festival WPT Australia will take place at The Star Gold Coast Casino from the 27th of September 2019 for a period of ten days. The venue has been recently upgraded though an investment of AUD 850 million. There will be 10 tournaments at the festival. The buy-ins will range from AUD 330 to AUD 5000.
The main event of the tournament will be held on the 4th of October for a period of 4 days and will have a buy-in of AUD 2500.
The renowned tourist destination The Star Gold Coast features some highly-desired attractions, including the most luxurious five hotel in Australia, gaming facilities of world class, globally-renowned bars and restaurants, and even a local theatre.
The property The Star Gold Coast has held some of the most prominent events in Australia such as the GC2018 Commonwealth Games.
In a press statement, The Star Gold Coast’s Managing Director Queensland, Geoff Hogg, said that both the resort and the nation of the country are welcoming the highly-anticipated World Poker Tour on their home soil. He further stressed the fact that The Star Gold Coast has undergone major innovations during the past several years. This has allowed it to keep evolving through high investment levels that establish The Star Gold Coast as one of industry’s leader for poker all over the world.
